System Building EffortsIowa’s Program Wide – Positive Behavior Supports (PW-PBS)This initiative promotes the social-emotional competence for young children birth to five years of age. It is built on the Pyramid Model: effective workforce, nurturing and responsive relationships, high quality supportive environments, targeted social emotional supports, and intensive interventions. Each of these entities brings with them to this planning process their assessments, observation of trends and changes, and input from Head Start Directors throughout Iowa. Training and networking opportunities are targeted in various component areas and/or disciplines are developed.
